WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU PAY YOUR TRAFFIC TICKET WITHOUT GETTING AN ATTORNEY OR NEGOTIATING WITH THE PROSECUTOR

Attorney Tyson Mutrux describes in this video what happens if you pay your traffic ticket without getting an attorney or negotiating with the prosecutor

Hi! Tyson Mutrux here with Mutrux Finney, P.C.. Today I’m answering the question of, “What happens if you pay your traffic ticket without getting an attorney or without negotiating with the prosecutor?” So, it’s kind of two things there, without getting an attorney or without negotiating it.

If you just pay your ticket and it’s a point violation, you will receive points on your license which could later on lead to, if you get enough points, suspend of your license. However, if you negotiated with the prosecutor yourself or if you hire an attorney, a lot of times you can get that ticket amended to a non-point violation — a lot of times littering, improper muffler, something like that — where you get no points on your license, you pay a small fine, and that’s it. So, that’s what will happen.
