WHAT IS A STATUS CONFERENCE

Attorney Tyson Mutrux describes in this video what a status conference is

Hi! Tyson Mutrux here with Mutrux Finney, P.C.. Today I’m talking about “What is a Status Conference?” Now, if you have a civil case or a criminal case, you may hear your attorney talk about, “We have a status conference coming up.” All that really is, is it’s for the attorneys to confer with each other, whether it’s the prosecutor and the defense attorney or opposing counsel on a civil case. Just talk about what’s going on with the case and what needs to happen going forward and then usually convey that to the judge. Not much happen at these. Motions are not normally heard. They just talk about the case and schedule something going forward.

If you have any other questions about that, give us a call at 888-550-4026 or check us at www.mutruxlaw.com. Thanks a lot and have a great day.
