Georganna Ekpo

Georganna Ekpo is an attorney in the St. Louis office of Mutrux Firm Injury Lawyers. Georganna is a St. Louis native who has practiced law in Missouri since 2012. She brings broad litigation experience and a commitment to helping people understand their rights, make informed decisions, and find their footing during difficult times.

Georganna’s path to law began with work in education and labor advocacy. Before attending law school, she taught seventh grade in the Bronx as a New York City Teaching Fellow and worked as an international union organizer. As an organizer she traveled throughout the country to advocate for the rights of working people. These experiences deepened her commitment to service and inspired her to become an attorney, particularly to help people whose circumstances can leave them feeling voiceless or without meaningful access to justice.

Georganna’s legal career has included a variety of litigation matters in private practice, as well as approximately seven years in the City of St. Louis’s City Counselor’s Office. At the City Counselor’s Office she practiced municipal law and handled insurance defense and employment matters. She also served for six years as an adjunct professor in Washington University School of Law’s Pretrial Advocacy and Settlement Program, where future attorneys developed their case preparation, advocacy, and settlement skills under her tutelage.

Georganna earned her Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law. During law school, she received the Order of Barristers recognition for excellence in advocacy and the Equal Justice Works Award for her outstanding commitment to pro bono work and public service. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where she double majored in History and African & African-American Studies.

At Mutrux, Georganna draws on her experience as an attorney, educator, and advocate to help injured clients navigate the legal process. She values careful preparation, clear communication, and understanding how an injury affects each client’s everyday life.

Georganna is a history enthusiast who also enjoys exploring Forest Park, studying theology, and Bible journaling.
