What is Discovery?

Tyson Mutrux: Hello, Tyson Mutrux here with the Mutrux Law Firm. Today I’m just going to answer the question of what is discovery. Discovery is just a fancy term for evidence. That’s all it is. Now you may hear it toss around by your attorney or someone else’s attorney. All it means is evidence. It could be in the form of a written discovery of request for production, request for admissions, interrogatories or it could be in the form of deposition. Sometimes it’s in the form of police report but all it is evidence. So if you hear that term discovery, that’s all it means.
