What to do if you’ve been injured after getting the Pertussis Vaccine

Attorney Tyson Mutrux describes in this video what to do if you’ve been injured after getting the Pertussis vaccine

Hi! Tyson Mutrux here with the Mutrux Law Firm. Today I’m talking about vaccine injuries and specifically vaccines containing pertussis. Now, if you’ve been injured after taking a vaccine such that it contains pertussis, what you need to know is that you cannot file in state court; you need to file it in the vaccine court and federal court. That’s your only remedy if it’s one of the vaccines listed under the Vaccine Injury Table. If you want a copy of that, feel free to email me tyson@mutruxlaw.com. I can give you a copy, so you can look at it.

Another thing you need to know is attorney’s fees are not like you would normally hear like contingency fee basis with other personal injury attorneys. They’re actually based upon an hourly rate, and you don’t pay those. The vaccine court pays those as long as the person makes a reasonable claim, so you want to make sure you talk to an attorney, make sure the claim is viable, and the vaccine court will pay those attorney’s fees. You do not have to pay those attorney’s fees.

Remember, there is a time limitation on filing these claims. We cover that in another video, so if you don’t know what that is, feel free to check it out.
