Can the Police Search Your Cell Phone Without a Warrant?
Attorney Tyson Mutrux describes in this video whether the police can search your cell phone without a warrant?
Hi! Tyson Mutrux here with the Mutrux Law Firm. Today I’m answering the question of, “Can the police search your cell phone without your permission, without a warrant?” And the Supreme Court in the Riley v. California said, “Absolutely not. The police have to get a search warrant because it’s such a personal and intimate object.” So, if the police asks to search your phone, tell him no, make him get a warrant.
If you have any other questions about that, give us a call at (888) 550-4026 or check us at www.mutruxlaw.com. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
